Enrolling in our courses through Bayan Extension (Continuing Education)

You don’t have to be enrolled in a degree program to take courses at Bayan. Space permitting, community members age 18 and above are welcome to join our degree-seeking students in the classroom and learn from our world-class faculty, by enrolling through Bayan Extension (joining our courses in this way is called “continuing education”). Review the schedule of courses and the timings for in-person class sessions. No credit is given for courses taken, and such courses cannot be counted in the future towards a degree.

Degree-seeking students may “audit” Bayan’s on-campus courses, but online and hybrid-intensive courses cannot be audited. Students not enrolled in our hybrid intensive courses for credit are encouraged to enroll through Bayan Extension (Continuing Education) like community members.

Signing up is easy – just complete our Continuing Education Registration Form, and submit the payment. The fee is $450 per 3-unit course, a fraction of the graduate tuition rate.

If you are thinking about enrolling in a degree program at Bayan in the future and want to take a course that will count for the program at that time, you should take the course for credit instead of continuing education, at the full tuition rate of $775/unit ($2,325 per 3-unit course). To do so, you must be admitted to the school as a non-degree-seeking student through an application process before the start of the semester. Contact admissions@cst.edu for further information and application deadlines.
